KNOW I’m a human guinea pig for new skincare lines so when I was contacted by
Skin Resource.MD to review their skincare line, which was a line I had never heard of, but that is local to San Diego, I was ALL IN!
Their state-of-the-art skin care products were created by practicing, board-certified dermatologists who formulated these unique products for their own dermatology clinic patients. These unique products were trademarked the Intelligent Alternative® and became available to the public in 2015. When used together daily these products will make your skin appear more vibrant, healthy, and youthful.
Another selling point for me? All-natural ingredients. Non-comedogenic. Non-animal tested. (I will not use any products that have been tested on our furry friends, this you know!)
Their one-of-a-kind products are touted to make your skin radiant and beautiful without harsh chemicals at a fraction of the cost of other premium skin care products. So for four weeks, I tested their line, to give you the goods. (You’re Welcome!) ; )
Like I mentioned, I’ve been using the line for the past four weeks. I know that that’s not typically the longest test trial, but I can say that I reallyyyyyy LOVE this line so far. I use the Crystal Clarity twice a week to exfoliate. It is a made of volcanic microcrystals and is used to treat sun damage, lines, large pores and reveal healthier looking skin. I use it before washing my face in the morning. After that, I have been following up with the Age Limit, which is comprised of a blend of glycolic and lactic acids to reveal fresh skin and lift away discolorations (this makes my skin tingle- and I LOVE products that make my face tingle slightly. It makes me think something good is happening to my skin NO? Don’t ya love a good tingle too?
I follow up with the Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum, which is comprised mainly of…. you guessed it: Hyaluronic Acid, and is like a drink of water for your parched skin. (hyaluronic acid for me, is a game changer!)
The last product I finish up with is the Baobab Skin Correction Facial Cream. The Promise: with 30-days of regular use, Baobab Anti-Aging Skin Correction Facial Cream can reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, making skin look younger and healthier. Baobab oil provides the ultimate source of hydration for dry, damaged skin.

This is a very unique product in being that Baobob is oil is derived from the fruit of the Baobab tree, which is native to Africa. So wild, right??
Packed with beneficial vitamins and minerals, oil from the Baobab tree has been referred to as the “Tree of Life”.
Soooooo, you ask…. what is most obvious difference for me is when I wake up each morning after using these products after a month?
I can visually see a difference in my skin. In fact, this morning I was really surprised at how good my skin looked for less than a satisfactory amount of sleep. The Baobob Skin Correction is a tad heavy for me to use in the morning on my skin because it SO moisturizing.
(In areas that are drier, the case might be different, but here in San Diego with the humidity lately, any added moisture to my face turns into a makeup landslide halfway through the day.) Now when I wake up in the morning, my face still feels like I just put the product on, and my skin is more plump than normal.
Also, right before I started using the products, I noted that my skin looked uneven and dry in areas, and I was considering going to get a microdermabrasion.
I’ve since postponed that appointment because my skin looks and feels so much better. Tonight, I used my PMD (personal microderm device) after I got out of the shower (on the blue sensitive exfoliation pad), and then I applied the Hyaluronic Moisture Boost and the Age Limit Refinishing Serum and the Baobab.
